Specifics for this converter
CBZ is a Comic Book Archive (Comic Book ZIP): it’s basically a ZIP file full of page images with a .cbz extension so comic reader apps open it like a book.
Most comic readers sort pages by filename. Use zero‑padded names like 001.jpg, 002.jpg, 010.jpg. When you build a CBZ here, we also prefix pages (001-, 002-, …) to keep your chosen order.
Those are macOS ZIP metadata files (resource forks). They can look like .jpg files but they are not real pages. Our ZIP to CBZ converter ignores them.
Common comic page image formats work best: JPG/JPEG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, BMP, and AVIF. Your ZIP must contain at least one real image file.
No. We don’t re-encode images. We rebuild the CBZ archive in your chosen order using the original image bytes.
Yes. Everything runs client‑side in your browser — your ZIP is not uploaded to a server.
